The shipbuilding corporation prepares a list of yards for sale
According to VTB head Andrey Kostin, the corporation still has plants without orders, including the Sevastopol yard, which currently employs around 200 people. The list of enterprises will be handed to the government and the president.
USC was founded in 2007 by a decree of Vladimir Putin; in 2023 its management was transferred to VTB because of financial problems. Its 2025 results were not disclosed.
In the summer, Khabarovsk Krai bought a local shipbuilding plant from USC for a symbolic rouble, with the enterprise debts passing to the region.
